Morgan’s favorite thing to do now-a-days is copy what we say and what we do, but what she loves even more than that is to be copied.
She is talking more and more everyday both when we ask her to say something and on her own. Somehow little ones can tell that some words should only be said by adults, one of those words she got from me. Talking to myself out loud one day I said shit along with a bunch of other words but she only repeated the one word she should not be saying and now she says it all the time especially in the car, where she heard it first.
She of course says good things as well. Morgan is working on her manners by saying please and thank you most of the time we don’t have to ask her she just says it automatically. My favorite thing she says by far is “I love you,” her daddy taught her that one.
On to her favorite game, one way to get Morgan out of a bad mood is to copy her, not her tantrums of course, but anything she is doing with her hands, legs, or body. Once she figures out what you are doing the game is one. She loves this and could play forever if it wasn’t so dang boring to me. I try to play for at least 5 min, by adding in some other moves, having her either stand or sit, or adding in sounds.
When I just can’t do it anymore I try to distract her with something else fun to ensure she doesn’t go back into her bad mood.
I am loving this stage it seems like each week Morgan grows/learns/changes so much. I want to hold on to as many of these memories as possible.
