Toddler Days

Pushing me in the rocking chair

This past week Morgan has been engaging in “conversations.”  She will say something in her own baby language and then who ever she is talking to will respond.  It looks and sounds like a real conversation, she says something waits and listens to the response then it’s her turn to talk again.

It was so cute to see her talking to her great grandma.  They were just going on and on about everything and nothing.  Her great grandma would ask her a question or comment on something she did and Morgan would respond.  When they were done talking she walked over to her great grandpa to talk to them.  That was the most she had ever talked in one day.

She has also gotten comfortable speaking to adults outside of the family, as well, where before she wouldn’t even look them in the eye.  It fact at the doctors appointment we took my mother in law to, Morgan was talking to the other patients and their families, she was touching them and their stuff, it was cute and sweet but at the same time a little scary.

I don’t want her to be too friendly with strangers.  I am always with her but I may look away at some point and I don’t want her to walk off with someone else.

I better get ready for the stranger danger talk.
