You probably think I am crazy to be already thinking about my planner for next year, but I am.
I like the planner I have now but I definitely don’t love it.
I want a planner that I love, one that can grow with me. As the weeks and months have gone by I have been making additions to my planner but I am a the point where I don’t think I can do that anymore.
There are three routes I am thinking about taking with my planner next year.
- I was thinking about printing out my planner: there are so many free planner printables on Pinterest and most of them look like they would work great for me. I could add pages as needed as well as have more space to add folders, sticky notes, pens, etc. I can also mix and match the printables, this option would be more flexible/personable. The down fall of this route is that it could get expensive to print all these pages out.
- I like the FiloFax and Kikki K planners but they are expensive too, but I know I could find something similar at Target or Walmart for much cheaper. I would still have room in a planner like this to add folder, other inserts, sticky notes, and more. This would have a better binder to it (with the printable I would just use a regular binder which doesn’t hold up well). design and stability wise one that I could use for a few years. This would mean that the following year I would only have to get more inserts.
- I could bind my own. I have been looking into bookbinding, at first it was just to make a notebook to replace my current blog notebook, but now I may put together another one to use as a planner. After I bind the book using plain white printer paper, I could go back through and make my own monthly calendars and daily or weekly pages. If I go with this option I will keep it simple I don’t want to put too much time into it otherwise it would have just made more sense to buy one.
So these are the three options I am considering, luckily I have plenty of time to think this over. I can’t wait to get out of this planner though!
If you have used one or more of these options I would love to hear what you liked or didn’t like about it.
When I make a final decision I will share it here.
